There was a great deal of concern as quite suddenly the island lost around thirty of their young adults. Lucky and Dean Fontaine were sent to find these lost young. When they returned it was revealed that most of them had died of this strange illness that swept through the Mainland and made it’s way to Bleakwater Cove. Those that were not yet dead were hospitalized and after much discussion amongst the Founding Fathers the Voice determined that the young adults could not be returned to their homes for risk of spreading this new plague.

1990
It is agreed that trade with the larger island of Bleakwater Cove is a necessary evil and that the young who have reached the age of majority should keep with the (now) ancient traditions. It is only goods being brought from the island or onto the island by the Fontaine family.
